  • Quaker Chemical expects 2026 growth from new wins, cost management and continued share gains.

Quaker Chemical Corporation (KWR - Free Report) recently completed the refinancing of its existing U.S. term loans to enhance financial flexibility by extending its maturity horizon. The transaction involves closing a new seven-year, $550 million Term Loan B facility, which will be used to fully repay the company’s outstanding U.S. term loans.

The new facility matures in October 2033 and carries an interest rate of SOFR plus 175 basis points. Quarterly amortization is set at 0.25% of the initial principal amount, with the remaining balance due at maturity.

The transaction is expected to reduce Quaker Houghton’s required annual debt payments while providing greater ability to invest in strategic growth initiatives. The extended maturity profile supports the company’s ability to maintain a disciplined approach to capital allocation.

Strong support from lenders also underscores confidence in the company’s market position, cash-flow generation and long-term growth strategy.

KWR shares have gained 21.7% in the past year compared with the industry’s 0.9% decline in the same period.

The company, on its second-quarter call, said that it expects meaningful revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth in 2026, supported by new business wins, disciplined cost management and the resilience of its global network. Management expects stable demand entering the third quarter, with end markets projected to remain flat to slightly positive through the rest of 2026. Continued share gains are expected to support volume growth despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Quaker expects the gross margin percentage in the third quarter to remain near second-quarter levels as it works through raw material cost inflation, inventory movements and the timing of price recovery actions. Management said pricing and cost initiatives should allow the company to exit 2026 within its target gross margin range.
